Yahoo! Messenger now officially supports movie talk. However the app primarily appeared on the Android Market last week, Yahoo has waited until now to make it official after a latest update addressed some concerns and optimized spectacle.

The Yahoo! Messenger Movie Add-on app enables movie talk on a myTouch 4G and HTC EVO 4G, which are presently the only apps officially supported. You can attempt your luck with other Two.Two phones with front-facing camera, but problems may arise. Messenger places free movie calls over 3G, 4G, or WiFi, and works with the equivalent apps for iPhone and PC/Mac. I tested shortly earlier today and there are some problems to work out, but it’s become less laggy since I tested the leaked beta app.

Also getting an update today is Yahoo Mail. The latest version supports viewing sent/received photos in a gallery and people with numerous email accounts from Yahoo can access them all within one app. Throw in the photo/movie sharing and integrated contacts support from the Messenger app and Yahoo Android fans have a busy day.

I love the numerous accounts feature, now I can lightly be notified when I get an email in either of my accounts.

I am dying to attempt this tonight. I'm fresh with my evo so I was hoping for a little help. Do I download these through the Android market on my evo? And what about the leaked beta app? Is that safe to download to my evo? WHat im looking for is being able to movie talk through this yahoo messenger from my EVO phone to a PC, is that what this will do?

Would you suggest the leaked beta app (through xda) over the official one?

I’ve downloaded the fresh messenger to both pc and evo. the movie works well, but the audio is nothing but chirping noise is being heard on both completes. does any one have any ideas? we are going on a journey in January and want to movie with my little ones.

I suppose the write means a user-facing camera as the front-facing one would normlly be the hi-res camera used for taking quality pictures. The user-facing one is obviously back towards the user of the phone.

its using main camera of divice instead of front cam……
